Place-Based Learning

At Trailblazer Elementary, we believe that learning happens everywhere and for everyone.  As part of our vision, we engage our students in place-based education and so we learn through the places that surround us.  That daily learning is personalized to the learner’s needs and interests.  At Trailblazer, this looks like learning through the unique parks, businesses, and culture that our location on the westside of Colorado Springs offers us.  Learners use language arts, math, science, social studies, and performing and visual arts skills to connect and give back to our community.
